This work is not theoretical. It is drawn from a career that has crossed industries, continents, and cultures, and from the specific expertise required to navigate each transition with precision.

I did not set out to become a career strategist. I set out to build a career, and in doing so, discovered something that most transition frameworks quietly ignore: the cultural dimension of professional reinvention.

With a Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Science, a PhD in Media & Communication, and an MBA in Strategic Leadership, my own trajectory has crossed three disciplines, five industries, and five countries. I have worked remotely and in-person with multinationals based in Denmark, Germany, Israel, Nigeria, and the United States. I understand, from the inside, what it means to navigate the complexity of a global workplace while carrying a cultural identity that the organisation may not fully see, let alone value.

What I observed, again and again, across my own transitions and in the journeys of the professional women around me, was a consistent gap: the strategy was there, but the cultural intelligence was missing. Women were being advised to pivot, to rebrand, to ask for the promotion, without any acknowledgement of the invisible forces shaping how those moves would land. The accent. The name. The assumption of difference. The dual standard.

RISE with Betty™ was built to close that gap. Not as a space for inspiration or motivation, but as a strategic resource, one that brings the rigour of academic research, the practicality of leadership experience, and the cultural fluency of a genuinely multicultural career to the women who need it most.

I founded this consultancy in 2025, because I believe that professional women, and particularly African professional women navigating global workplaces, deserve strategy that is built for the full complexity of their reality. That is what RISE with Betty™ delivers.
